- Hazardous materials management
- Health and Safety
- WHMIS 2015 (including GHS inclusion and new symbols, Dec 2018)
- New Classification Standards and supplier labels
- Appropriate first response and First Aid procedures
The course will give participants an understanding of:
- Hazards associated with chemicals used in the water and wastewater fields
- Safe handling of those chemicals and the use of personal protective equipment
- The requirements of provincial and federal legislation regarding the use of chemicals in the workplace
