DWD409 - Watermain Breaks and Repairs
This one-day course is designed to teach operators the various types of watermain breaks and the methods of leak detection.
Course Overview
The participants will develop a plan for the following:
- detection;
- public notification;
- isolation;
- safe excavation;
- watermain repair;
- disinfection;
- flushing;
- pressure testing;
- bacteriological sampling;
- documenting and returning the watermain to service;
- latest disinfection methods as to how they pertain to watermain breaks will also be covered.
